Our 38th annual wacipi (wah-cheep-ee) — powwow — just wrapped up ... what a whirlwind weekend!

Shawnna, Diamond and Joe earned recognition as powwow royalty. They epitomize strong Lakota (Sioux) values and represent the best qualities in all of our boys and girls.

In our weekend events, 173 youth dancers participated.

Words can’t convey the thrill and excitement rippling through our campus during the powwow. I can still feel my heart beating with the drum and soaring in song.

Watching our students and their friends showcase their Native American culture in such a magnificent, colorful way is magical.

All of us are so proud of the way our boys and girls represent themselves and their culture. We hope you are proud of them, too!

Please watch our video that so beautifully commemorates this special event.

Remember — without your committed and caring support, it wouldn’t be possible for these children to flourish and thrive in such a stable, loving environment. Wopila tankamany thanks — for your support!
