As warmer weather takes over, the Lakota (Sioux) students enjoy riding their bikes and scooters and shooting some hoops outside. In addition to simple after-school games, spring sports have started!

Track has started for the sixth, seventh and eighth graders the team is 28 strong! Several of St. Joseph’s high school students will run track for Chamberlain High School. Good luck St. Joseph’s Braves and CHS Cubs!

Softball has also begun! St. Joseph’s junior high students (grades 6-8) have evening league, as do the fourth and fifth grade students. Played for fun rather than competition with other schools, each league has four teams. They work on building basic skills and teamwork.

St. Joseph’s youngest students — first, second and third graders — play T-ball to learn the basics of hitting, catching, throwing and teamwork.

Wopila tankamany thanks — for providing healthy activities for the Lakota boys and girls!
