St. Joseph's LNI Knowledge Bowl Team

The Lakota Nation Invitational (LNI) began in 1977 as an eight-team boys’ basketball tournament at Pine Ridge High School. In the years that followed, the event became increasingly popular.

Today, LNI has grown to include 36 basketball teams that draw thousands of fans. In addition to the basketball tournament, other competitions include wrestling, Lakota language contests and traditional Lakota hand games.

St. Joseph’s students have participated in the Knowledge Bowl and hand games competitions.
