Copilot is a program at St. Joseph’s Indian School that matches new students with returning students. This program allows returning students (Copilots) to mentor new students (Pilots).

Why is it called Copilot?

The new students are the Pilots — they are empowered to be in charge of the decisions they make, how they act and who they interact with every day. Returning students are their Copilots. Copilots are there to help new Pilots "navigate" dangerous airspace and tricky situations like homesickness, bullying issues and the importance of families and friends.

Staff are also there to help things along by providing guided activities as well as advice and supervision.

Over half of St. Joseph’s students were involved in the Copilot program last year.
