St. Joseph’s utilizes technology in every classroom!

At St. Joseph’s Indian School, we take digital learning seriously. From Promethean boards to interactive games and lessons, technology is utilized in every classroom.

Author and educator David Warlick once stated, "We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher's hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of the world."

Technology empowers St. Joseph’s educators to develop productive teaching and learning practices. Furthermore, implementing technology in the classroom allows staff to encourage collaborative, project-based learning where our students are able to share knowledge and work together towards a common goal. Technology increases student engagement and drives our students to learn more about the world around them.

"The students we are preparing for the future will need to be both independent and technology savvy. They will need to have a strong understanding of math, be fluent readers and critically understand what they read and process. Technology allows our students to interact with knowledge immediately," explained Sharmel, St. Joseph’s Curriculum Coordinator.

Digital Learning Day encourages the sharing of innovative practices to ensure that all youth have access to high-quality digital learning opportunities no matter where they live.

Thank you for being part of St. Joseph’s, where we encourage our students to effectively and efficiently utilize technology in their learning and lives.
