St. Joseph’s Indian School is pleased to announce that JT, a 2005 graduate of St. Joseph’s High School Program, will attend WyoTech for certification in Residential Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.

He is continuing his education after serving four years in the United States Navy.

JT has visited St. Joseph’s several times while on leave over the last four years, sharing his Navy experiences with junior high students and encouraging them to reach for their dreams.

“Whether it’s a military career, college or other training, you can do it,” he said. “If I can, so can you.” JT attended St. Joseph’s Indian School from first grade through his senior year in high school.

After graduation, JT completed his Naval Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois and continued training as an Aviation Boatswain's Mate at the Naval Air Tech Training Center in Pensacola, Florida.

In this role, he played a major part in launching and recovering naval aircraft quickly and safely from land or sea. This included observing and enforcing safety requirements, as well as supervising firefighting crews, fire rescue teams, and damage control parties.

He was stationed in San Diego, California during his service and plans to remain on the West Coast after completing his education.
