Graduates of St. Joseph's Indian School!

Records show that 80% of students who graduate eighth-grade from St. Joseph’s Indian School also earn a high school diploma or GED.

St. Joseph’s Indian School is proud to announce that over $70,000 in college scholarships were awarded for the spring 2014 semester, bringing the yearly total to over $117,000 invested in the future of the Lakota youth!

Thanks to your generosity:

  • 69 Native American students received financial assistance in pursuing higher education
  • 38 were alumni of St. Joseph’s Indian School
  • 11 of those students earned degrees this spring (six of them alumni)

All nine students who graduated high school in May 2014 high school graduates have applied for scholarships to continue their education.

“We’re so proud of these students!” said Mary Jane, St. Joseph’s Alumni Outreach Director. “What’s even more exciting is that many of them have agreed to visit campus and talk to our current students about the importance of high school and college or technical school. They are eager to give something back!”

Wopila tankamany thanks — for investing in the future of the Lakota children!
