St. Joseph's Indian school supports Lakota heritage

Our Native American Studies
classes and annual powwow
help the Lakota (Sioux) boys
and girls connect
with their heritage.

Wopila tankamany thanks — for your generosity in helping reach our goal of $200,000 before the end of 2015!

St. Joseph’s Indian School is privately funded by many caring friends who believe in our mission, and want the best for the Lakota (Sioux) children we serve. Thanks to you, we are able to continue helping children who so desperately need a loving home-away-from-home.

Some important facts:

  • Our average donation is less than $20.00.
  • We do not receive regular assistance from the government.
  • We don’t receive large corporate gifts that make up the majority of our budget.

One by one, people just like you, make our work possible.

Thanks to you, we are able to provide college scholarships, programs that strengthen families, nutritious food, warm clothing and cultural education for the Native American children we work with.

Most importantly, we help build the confidence the Lakota students need to give back and make a difference for others.

Pilamayathank you — for making a difference in the lives of the Lakota children who are counting on YOU!
